JPMorgan is the reason "active ETF" stopped being an oxymoron in Europe. Its research-enhanced index funds take a broad benchmark and tilt modestly using in-house stock research, aiming to beat the index by a small margin at a fee only slightly above a passive tracker. The other pillar is equity premium income: an options-overlay strategy that pays a high monthly distribution from a large-cap portfolio. Both are genuinely differentiated products rather than repackaged beta.
