1. Who we are

2. Data we collect
Account data: email address, hashed password, subscription status, and billing country when you register or subscribe. Payment data: processed by our payment provider; we never store full card numbers. Usage data: pages viewed, calculator inputs saved to your account (Pro), device type, browser, approximate location derived from IP address, and referral source. Cookie data: see section 5.
3. Why we process it (legal bases)
To provide the Service and your subscription (performance of contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); to secure and improve the Service, measure aggregate usage, and prevent abuse (legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f)); to show advertising on the free tier and, where required, personalised advertising only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); to comply with tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).
4. Advertising
The free tier is ad-supported. We work with third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense (provided by Google LLC), that use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Where you are located in the EU/EEA or UK, personalised advertising is only enabled with your prior consent via the consent banner, and you can withdraw consent at any time in the privacy settings. Without consent, only contextual (non-personalised) ads are shown. You can learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Pro subscribers see no ads.
5. Cookies & analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies (login session, consent status), functional cookies (saved calculator settings), analytics cookies (aggregate usage statistics), and — with consent — advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to measure how the Service is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referral source). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes IP addresses on our behalf; IP addresses are not logged or stored by Google Analytics 4. You can opt out via the cookie settings link in the footer, through your browser, or with Google's opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
6. Sharing
We share personal data only with: payment processors (to handle subscriptions), hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics providers acting as processors under contract (including Google Analytics), advertising partners such as Google AdSense (subject to your consent choices), and authorities where legally required. We do not sell your personal data.
7. International transfers
We are based in the United States, so data of EU/EEA and UK visitors is transferred to the US. Where GDPR applies, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
8. Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymised within 90 days of account closure, except where longer retention is required by law (e.g., invoicing records). Server logs are retained for up to 12 months for security purposes.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (EU/EEA/UK) or, for California residents, to exercise rights under the CCPA/CPRA including the right to opt out of “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising. 10. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and, for material changes, notify registered users by email. Last updated: July 2026.
